Ok, I'll bite. where is and what's in Chattenbury? Mostly, I want to know what the reaction of the people in attendance was when the young boy got bitten by the snake. Was there panic or was everyone pretty nonchalant? Did he receive medical attention? Was he okay?

Weird foods, fireworks killing people, people handling snakes...sounds a lot like Cocke County. Say something in Thai.

Of course we read it! It is just that the whole snake charming/firewar, I mean firework, episode still has me bemused. What are you going to see in Bangkok? Isn't this a Rotary trip? Are you speaking to clubs? Do you have a translator? What did you take as gifts this time? Have you gotten any interesting gifts? Thailand is a great place to buy gemstones if you need any. Beautiful rubies and sapphires. Sounds like you are eating well (and a lot).

Just typed in response and realized I didn't have account. Know that I'm logged in, I'll be able to responsed more regularly. Of course, my first response was freakin brilliant and of course it looks like it was lost. Any way, we prepare to head to LA to play the Galaxy and Beckham, so wish us luck. Sorry, dear cheesburgerman, I don't do, can't do, won't do snakes. I had my eyes closed for most of that posting!(guffaw, guffaw) Sounds like you are having a great time.. but when do they put you to work? I thought you were suppose to be helping to build water systems/irrigation systems? No slacking off!! HOnestly, it sounds like a great time - hope you're getting some good pictures. Wish I had time to google and come up with some really good questions... but I shall depend on you to supply all the info one needs to know, ok?:)
It's hot in bama... how is it there? And you've got ice cream!? what flavors do they have there. Ok, there you go... as long as your dad reminds me with a link, I'll click and read, write and smile just thinking about you. Now be careful - no snake wrestling! Love ya, Kiddo!!:)tbnqjoy

To the gifted musician whose song I have on my ipod, thanks to your Dad...everyone is interested in the snake. Me I am more intrigued in the chicken being cooked in its own blood. What color is the meat when it is cooked? And do you know what the name of this process is called or maybe the name of the dish or blood gelatin cubes? I for one applaud your efforts to try the local cuisine. Your culinary dialogue is fascinating. I look forward to hearing what shows up in your future lyrics from your trip.

P.S. I am a friend of your Dad's and your writings remind me very much of him when he was your age. (Don't worry, this is a compliment!)

Hank,
I think I finally got signed up and signed on!! We will see if this gets posted. I haven't read all the posts yet so I'm not caught up on what's all going on but I know you are far far away and doing something very important! I'm so proud of you. We had our soccer banquet and you were awarded the Coaches Award so I took your award, t-shirt and DVD by your Mom's so you will have it when you get home. Also we just got back from Regionals in Raleigh, NC and there was a great picture of the Catholic soccer team in the Southern Soccer Scene newspaper and there is a mention of you for your goal in the State Championship Game! Really cool. I have a copy for you, your Mom and your Dad. Anyway enough about soccer just really wanted to say Hello, be careful, have fun, learn allot and thanks for all you are doing for people who really need the help! I'll write again soon.

Hank,

Don't spend all of your money as I still have a computer waiting for you when you get back and start that singing career of yours! Ha, just kidding. YOU know us Holleman's...suck it up man and represent! Kidding cuz, glad to hear all is well and you are still enjoying your trip. Take in everything you can and make sure you stop and absorb even the smallest of things. You'll never know if you will get such an opportunity again in life. As to the snake thing, I sure hope you realize that there isn't much of a future in snakehandling, especially in the States (save some religious groups). Keep the head up and we expect to see some great pictures when you get back.
